On the other side of the district gate, I have drop off points. I set up one distribution center per neighboring district. I’ve been operating under the assumption that haulers can haul more than traders. Size of the DP vs Hauler hut and size of their workforce suggest distribution is just for flavours and small scale districts. Like I suspect the devs don't want us to use distribution for sustaining a whole district. That's why it's important to build every district with self-sufficient food and clean water production, because distribution can't handle supply. And also yeah, it's easy to set up big production where one district has plenty of resource while others barely survive. The drop off has limit of 300 and until it's cleared nothing new can be added. Like was already said, build near borders and minimise how long they have to travel outside their district, it makes them cranky and when they get hungry or thirsty their speed drops and they still won't eat until they get back.Īlso check what limits you have set up and if there is enough storage in the target districts. Also, transporting raw foods and multiplying it on site is much better than transporting cooked meals, if you have to keep another district alive. I only use distribution to get variety of foods everywhere from a food district, sustenance is on each district for itself. Just curious what others thoughts are on it and if there are any tips I may be missing. Should I be making multiple trade routes for the same item to increase throughput? should I add even more distribution posts? I have this issue with every product I want to distribute and I feel like I am always fighting it and waiting on goods to be delivered regardless of my capacity. I can see all my beavers running around so from what I can tell they're all working on those delivery routes. But, it seems like even with two fully labored distribution posts, ie 16 beavers, whose only responsibility is to ship grilled spadderdock, barely any seems to actually move out into the other districts and I end up with thousands of Spadderdock sitting in the spadderdock district. So I find myself frequently setting up a small Spadderdock district whose sole responsibility is to ship grilled spadderdock out to the main and other districts. Grilled Spadderdock is a good example - very easy to make a lot of this stuff, way more than one district could possibly need. One problem I am consistently running into is that I feel like I can't ship goods fast enough. Been really enjoying my time with TImberborn recently, but one thing I can't quite figure out is how to use the distribution posts effectively.
