![]() ![]() This could have been SO much better Jung, there's so many events but on your own you've got a few hours of fun at best, and multiplayer modes feel tacked on which, for game that is really all about multiplayer - just isn't good enough not by a long stretch.Īnd not many are party proof. Call me old fashioned, but I don't like games telling me when I should stop playing. Maybe all those fake Wiimote in plasmas pictures on the web have made Nintendo overcautious Baj. And there's so many warnings in this game - 'clear a space before playing' 'careful not to hit those around you' 'why don't you take a break, you can pause the game any time'. Maybe Ninty figure no one is going to go and fork out for 3 extra MotionPlus adapters right away Jung, you're right though - the best part of Wii sports was Wii tennis and bowling, and nothing here really rivals that. It's not though, and that's a big fail in our opinion. Resort is a good game to pull out at party and you can see families getting into it but the biggest criticism is it's littered with pass the parcel events disguised as 4 player multiplayer. It's the most repetitive of the events and also the only 4 player simultaneous event, Jung as I was having a paddlin' out there in the ocean, swinging left and right as fast as possible I did more than once find myself wondering what on earth I was doing it for. Baj, you totally glazed over during the canoeing though. Picking your points to sprint is essential to win, but if you sprint too much, you'll end up exhausted.īasketball is definitely the hardest, and their idea of a hint is to image you're throwing a ball into a bell above your head.strangely that didn't really help me Jungīajo, I throw balls into bells all the time, you're just not as experienced at life as me. You need to watch out for gusts of wind, and also pedal and lean at the same time with chuck and 'mote. Cycling has is a bit awkward but we liked it. We also quite liked Sky diving and golf, and Frisbee golf.Īrchery is great too, and many of these events factor in wind resistance and force you to use the Wiimote in a different way. The strongest part of this mode is slicing fruit against another opponent. ![]() ![]() You'll be wrangling the wiimote to block and fight and in multiplayer it does get a little waggly because all you need to do is one successful block then spam like crazy. ![]() First on the list and definitely our favorite, is the sword fighting. Wii sports resort is broken up into a bunch of events, many of which have extra unlockable modes on top of these and some are really worth unlocking. Having said that, the introductory video is much more interesting if you change the music Bajo. I gotta say though Jung, the introductory video which you're FORCED to watch is pretty patronising though. You definitely notice the difference and it just makes the Wii more fun because there's less of this and just more sensitivity, something we've all been wanting for a long time. The adapter sticks on the bottom of the Wii and it adds much more sensitivity allowing for accurate barrel rolls, for example. Now to coincide with Nintendo's new MotionPlus technology, comes the follow up game, Wii sports resort.īefore we get to the game, we should point out you NEED to have MotionPlus on every controller you want to use. It was also a great game - still one of the best on the Wii. Wii sports was bundled with the launch of the wii in Australia, and showed us the different ways the Wiimote can be used and what the Wii was all about really. Jung, it says we need to clear everything around us before we 's pretty crowded in here.should we go somewhere bigger?Īllriot. ![]()
